"Museum Open Days” in Mongolia continue

“Museum Open Days” in Mongolia are held annually in the first week of March, featuring free entry and special exhibitions at state museums to mark the anniversary of modern museums. In this regard, museums in Ulaanbaatar were very crowded last weekend.

Not only our country, but many others also open their museums free of charge on certain commemorative days in order to instill a sense of national pride in children and young people.

In France, for example, children under the age of 18 are entitled to free museum entry. On International Museum Day, celebrated on May 18, many museums offer free admission to visitors of all ages. The world-renowned Louvre Museum also opens its doors to the public free of charge on designated days each month.

In Italy, state-owned museums provide free entry to children under 18, and on the first Sunday of every month, a large number of museums across the country admit the public free of charge.

In Japan, museums offer free admission to children on Culture Day, November 3, as well as on Museum Day.
