UN publishes E-Government Development Index every two years. The EGDI is based on a comprehensive Survey of the online presence of all 193 United Nations Member States, which assesses national websites and how e-government policies and strategies are applied in general and in specific sectors for delivery of essential services.

Mongolia ranked 46th place out of 193 countries in 2024 as it moved up by 28 places. In 2022, Mongolia 74th place in this index. The table below shows how Mongolia has been evaluated by the e-government development index since 2003, and how it ranked.

Denmark has ranked 1st place out of 193 countries by e-governance development index. As for Asia, Singapore ranked 1st place. Ukraine has ranked 1st place out of 193 countries by e-participation index while Japan ranked 1st in Asian region.
