Mongolian athletes made history in Paris 2024 Paralympics

Paris 2024 Paralympic Games have ended as Mongolian athletes made history. Mongolian athletes couldn’t get the gold medals in Paris 2024 but Para athletics got it. Furthermore, Mongolian Para athletics gave hope and encouragement to more than 111 thousand people with disabilities in Mongolia.

Mongolia had four medals in Paralympic Games:

  • Gold medal – U.Surenjav /Taekwondo women’s K44 category -52 kg/
  • Silver medal – G.Bolor-Erdene /Taekwondo men’s K44 category -63 kg/
  • Silver medal – Ts.Battulga /Athletics men’s shot put category F40/
  • Silver medal – E.Sodnompiljee /Men’s powerlifting -107 kg/

Today, the President of Mongolia, U.Khurelsukh, presented the highest state medals to the Olympic and Paralympic Games medalists. President of the Paralympic Committee D.Nyamkhyu was also awarded the Sukhbaatar Order. During his presidensy in Paralympic Committee, Mongolian athletes won 2 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals from Paralympics.
