The Ulaanbaatar Labor Office (ULO) organized a meeting on Wednesday to discuss employment opportunities for the disabled. The meeting was part of a program that included a two-month training project for the disabled that ended September 10. The program aims to expand employment opportunities for the disabled and improve the services offered them by the state and NGOs.
ULO project officer D.Gan-Oyun told our reporter that the training program just ended helped disabled people learn how to find jobs and prepare for job interviews. 25 people took part in the program.
Also discussed at the meeting was a measure that would encourage organizations to hire at least one disabled person for every 25 able-bodied people hired.
