Today /2024.06.20/, a plant with a capacity of 10 million tons of coal per year has been put into operation in Tsogtsetsii soum of Umnugobi province. This is the first of 10 strategically important projects implemented by “Erdenes Tavantolgoi” JSC. This project has started on 2022.

Once the coal concentration plant is fully operational, “Erdenes Tavantolgoi” JSC will produce and sell an average of 24 million tons of products per year, earn 1.9 billion US dollars in sales revenue, and net profit will be 197.3 million US dollars.

Moreover, by implementing the project the company will create 472-928 new direct jobs.

The coal concentration plant is equipped with machinery and equipment of the leading brands in production and technology in the Asia-Pacific region.
