Today, the Mongolian National Association for Wheelchair Users has organized the first forum for children with disabilities on the occasion of the International Children’s Day.

The Mongolian National Association for Wheelchair Users is implementing the project named “Know your rights, implement your rights” in four schools where children with disabilities study. Within the frame of this project, disabled students has established “Supporting group” that learns skills such as developing together, mutual learning, human rights awareness, self-expression, and defining problems.

In Mongolia, there are 11835 disabled children who is under 18 years old. Among them, 8228 is getting education. 9500 children was registered in secondary school and 5653 of them are studying at school. Furthermore, 414 children are studying at universities.
