General Election Committee has approved the model of election ballot which has two parts: 48 members in proportion and 78 members in majority.

As of today, 23 parties, two coalitions and 77 independents who will compete in elections have registered. Election Committees have established in 330 soum of provinces and capital Ulaanbaatar. Establishment of 2296 units are being prepared.

Candidates will be announced between April 14-21.

Complains that connected to the illegal election advertising are coming from citizens. If the parties and coalitions conducts illegal advertising, they will be held responsible, such as refusal to register or deregistration. Police officers are working as a member of General Committees, so they are fully capable of prosecuting illegal advertising.
