Today /2024.04.17/ the National Statistics Committee presented the social and economic indicators of Mongolia for the first quarter of 2024. In March 2024, the prices of consumer goods and services increased by seven percent compared to the same period of the previous year. In other words, inflation increased by 7 percent. Prices of consumer goods and services increased by 0.9 percent.
Inflation rate was 12.2 percent in March 2023. As of April 15 of this year, the average price of major goods increased by 2.4 percent from the previous month.
The average price of imported goods increased by 31.4 percent compared to the same period last year. In the first three months of 2024, Mongolia conducted foreign trade with 128 countries and the turnover reached 6.1 billion US dollars.
