The first 3×3 basketball qualifying tournament for the Paris Olympics held yesterday in Hong Kong /2024.04.12/. A totally 16 teams from 8 country including Mongolia has competed with each other. One male and one female team will qualify for the Olympics. Even if they don’t qualify for the Olympics, they still have two more competitions in Japan and Hungary.

The Mongolian women’s national team will play their first match against the Netherlands, while the men’s team will play against the Olympic champion Latvia.

Mongolian men’s national team is in the same group as Latvia, Egypt and New Zealand in Group B. Latvian team includes all the best athletes, such as Nauris Miezis, Karlis Lasmanis, Edgars Krūmiņš and Zigmars Raimo. Netherlands team, which is called the favorite of the tournament, is including Bryan Alberts, Jan Driessen, Worthy de Jong and  Dimeo van der Horst.

Mongolian women’s national team is in the same group as Netherland, Azerbaijan and Chili.
