A meeting of management staff of the environment and tourism industry was held yesterday /2024.04.11/. This year with the aim of developing local tourism, they are focusing on the development of near-border and cross-border tourism. As part of the development of near-border tourism, activities such as 10 day visa free travels from China are planned.

The issue of visa free travel has been discussed within the industry for the past 10 years. The Mongolian government has confirmed this issue officially on April 3.

The number of tourists increased in January 2023 compared to January 2024. For example, as of the same month last year, 19,000 tourists arrived, but this year it has increased to 30,000.
