The newly approved National Standard for plastic recycling, hygiene and quality was presented today /11.04.2024/. The representers of project implementing and financing organizations, Mongolian Agency for Standard and Metrology, entrepreneurs in the plastic recycling industry, non governmental organizations and other experts have participated  this event. They discussed about future implements and results.

The main purpose of this project is to support development of Mongolian green economy and transition to a low-carbon, resource-efficient, and circular economy.

“Caritas Czech Republic” international organization is co-organizing the project. Implementers of this project has chosen four standards linked to plastic waste and two types of standards were approved by the Mongolian Agency for Standard and Metrology.

There are about 20 factories in Mongolia engaged in the field of plastic waste. Those factories are conducting their productions by using technologies that imported.
