The Mongolian government has decided to increase amount of welfare pension by 375,000 MNT from April 1 while the current amount is 325,000 MNT. And carer’s allowance will increase by 302,500 while the current amount is 275,000 MNT.

65,600 people who need care from society, such as elderly people who are not eligible for pension, disabled citizens, half and full orphans, receives welfare pension.

From January 1, 2024, assistance equal to the welfare pension has been provided to disabled children up to the age of 16. About 12.8 thousand children are receiving this assistance.

There are 65.9 thousand people who take care of people who need constant care, such as the elderly, disabled citizens, and children. They will receive 302,500 MNT per month from next Monday.
