3×3 Asian Basketball Championship continues in Singapore. Preliminary matches were held on the first two days while the main stage of the tournament starts today. Mongolian teams are leading the rankings in the main stage.

Mongolian men’s team, who ranks second in Asia, has entered B section with teams from Thailand and Sri Lanka. They will play their first match against Sri Lanka today at 14:40. Sri Lankan team has won teams from Indonesia, South Mariana islands and South Korea.

After this match, Mongolian team will play against Thailand team at 19:20. Thailand team has Frederik Lish, who well known to mongolians.

18 year old A.Azbayar, 19 year old Ch.Temuulen, 20 year old S.Binderya and A. Anand are members of the Mongolian national team. From last year’s team, only A.Anand was included in this year’s team. This time, Mongolia sends youths to the Asian Championship.

Steve Sir and G.Tsenguunbayar are working as coaches.

Mongolian women’s team, who ranks third in Asia, will play against teams from Malaysia and Philippines in C section. First match will be held at 15:35 against Malaysia while the last one is at 18:30 against Philippines. B.Ariuntsetseg, M.Tserenlkham, O.Khulan and U.Indra are members of the Mongolian team.
