Treatment for hepatitis D infection is not perfect. The only treatment approved by WHO is interferon. Myrcludex, the second treatment registered in Russia, hasn’t confirmed by WHO yet, but it is used for treatment.

Although this drug is not registered in our country, the European Union considered that it can be used. In the case of domestic use of drugs from US company, it is necessary to exempt them from customs and VAT. The monthly price of drug is 10-12 thousand US dollars. It is planned to supply this drug directly to the National Center for Infectious Disease Research and use it for treatment without the intermediary.
