The Mongolian government has decided to increase amount of pension provided by the Social Insurance Fund and pension of military personnel by 100 thousand MNT from April 1, 2024. Totally 499.2 thousand pensioner will be involved this increasement. 449.3 billion MNT is being spent on this increase.

As for today, average pension amount is 685.6 thousand MNT and if it’s increased by 100 thousand MNT it will be 785.6 thousand MNT.

The minimum amount of proportional pension is 440 thousand MNT, and it is increasing by 100 thousand MNT too.

The welfare pension will also increase. There are 65,600 people who takes welfare pension.

Also, children with disabilities who need constant care up to the age of 16 receive a cash allowance to support their livelihood. A total of 12,800 citizens receive this benefit. The amount of this benefit was 188 thousand MNT in 2020. In 2023, it increased by 12.8 percent. From April 1, 2024, it will be 375 thousand MNT by increasing 50 thousand MNT.
