There are 15 locations of meltwater spate in Ulaanbaatar. Ice will be transported from six locations from Sukhbaatar, Songinokhairkhan, Chingeltei, Bayanzurkh districts for one month. As for today, 21,340 tons of ice were transported from Selbe river.

In addition to machinery, a small number of workers are involved in this work to prevent flooding of capital cities. They break the ice with their bare hands without the  machinery.
