Enkhbayar.B, The Minister of Justice will lead the “5 Sh” operation against corruption.

Mongolian ruling party has been fighting corruption, but due to the theft cases, such as Development bank and Tavantolgoi mining, they declared 2023 as the Year of fighting corruption and started “5 Sh” operation. As part of this operation, “Shuvuu”, “Shugel”, “Shilen”, “Shuur”, “Shiljuulen avah” operations lead by five ministers from government were organized.

In english, the name of these operations means “Bird”, “Whistle”, “Glassy”, “Broom” and “Transfer”.

During the operation named “Shuvuu”, they forcefully brought Badamjunai.T, the former Minister of Food and Agriculture, from the Philippines. Furthermore, they started the search operation for the officials, such as Dulaanjargal.N, the former director of “Tavantolgoi Railway Company”, who fled across the border. But so far it has not been successful.

Enkhbayar.B who will lead the operation, has to pass laws that connected to the search for fugitives to foreign countries and legal status of whistle blower.
