Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak discussed sending an uninterrupted supply of petroleum products to Mongolia through the end of this year with Mongolia’s Energy Minister, B.Choijilsuren, which would include continuation through Q1 2024, and the possibility of concluding an intergovernmental agreement for the further supply and transportation of petroleum products to the country, and conditions of supplying electricity to meet the country’s needs.

The Russian government press service said that Russia is a key contender as a partner in the joint project to rebuild the coal-fired TPP-3 in Ulaanbaatar, which would provide an almost threefold increase in its capacity.
