Hunnu Air to launch international flights to Japan, China and France

Hunnu Air has received its second Embraer E190. The aircraft was leased by ACIA Aero Leasing and landed at Ulaanbaatar Chinggis Khaan International Airport on 16 September.

The company held a grand ceremony to take delivery of the jet, which joined the first E190 delivered in 2019. The carrier also has an ATR 42-500 in its fleet.

Hunnu Air was founded in 2011 and belongs to a mining company. Named Mongolian Airlines, the carrier decided to change its name in 2013, so as not to be confused with MIAT Mongolian Airlines, the country’s main international airline.

Flights began with two Fokker 50 turboprops and in 2012 two Airbus A319s were leased, allowing Hunnu Air to launch international flights to Japan, China and France.
