Speaker of the National Assembly of Laos Xaysomphone Phomvihane will pay an official visit to Mongolia on 7-10 September at the invitation of Speaker of the Parliament of Mongolia G.Zandanshatar.

This is the first visit to Mongolia at the level of the Speaker of the National Assembly of Laos after 11 years. It marks the beginning of a new sixty years of relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Laos. In addition, it is important for Mongolia to continue to receive the support of Laos when it becomes an ASEAN dialogue partner and joins regional processes such as APEC.

It is planned to expand friendly relations and cooperation between Mongolia and Laos, including inter-parliamentary cooperation, strengthen cooperation in the international arena, and exchange views on international and regional issues of mutual interest.
