Mongolia’s tax revenues from the tourism sector increased

Mongolian tourism businesses paid MNT 63.6 billion  in taxes as of the first half of this year.

a total of 1,320 companies and organizations paid MNT 87.1 billion in 2019 which is increased by 50 percent of tax revenue or MNT 47.1 billion in 2020. Moreover,  1,401 companies and organizations paid MNT 65 billion in 2021, while  1,637 companies and organizations paid MNT 94.2 billion in 2022.

1,376 organizations contributed MNT 63.6 billion  to the state budget in the first half of 2023. Tax revenues from the tourism sector have increased compared to the last 3 years.

The government has made the tourism sector a priority of the economy and has declared 2023-2025 Visit Mongolia Years. This year, the goal of one million tourists has been set, and over 390,000 tourists have already visited Mongolia so far.
