On May 27, Construction of railway on connecting Shivee Khuren port with Chinese Ceke port began.

The railway section will connect two ports. It will be implemented on the basis of public-private partnership. LLC “Nariynsukhayt tomor zam” will finance the project.

Shivee Khuren is a strategically important port through which 48 percent of coal exports pass.

“The connection of the port of Shivee Khuren-Sehe by railway is of particular strategic importance. It is the beginning of the western vertical axis of the Shivee Khuren-Nariinsukhayt-Artssuur railway, which is a cross-border railway economic corridor of Mongolia, China and Russia,” the Prime Minister said.
