Mongolia’s foreign trade turnover increased by 57 percent year on year to USD 5.7 billion in the first quarter of 2023, Mongolian Customs General Administration reported.
Mongolia registered a foreign trade surplus of about 1.8 billion dollars in the first quarter, mainly due to a significant increase in the exports of mining products.
China, Switzerland and South Korea were the top three export destinations for Mongolia during the first quarter, accounting for over 97 percent of its total exports.
