Mr. Ya.Sodbaatar the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Mongolian President held meeting with Saudi Arabian Prince Turki bin Mohammed bin Fahd bin Abdulaziz, Minister of State and Member of the Cabinet. During the meeting, they held cordial talks and discussed a number of issues of common interest.

Mongolia and Saudi Arabia established diplomatic ties in 2007. Mongolia exports to Saudi Arabia was USD 816 thousand during 2021, according to the United Nations COMTRADE database on international trade.

In 2018, Saudi Arabia requested to import meat from Mongolia and two sides agreed to establish a joint meat plant.
