There are reports that the Government has selected consortiums from
China, Russia, and the United States to develop the Tavantolgoi mine. According to the reports, the consortiums were chosen by a Government working group, which has forwarded the names of the consortiums to the National Security Council (NSC).

Our correspondent asked the head of the State Property Committee, D.Sugar, about these reports. He says that the working group has decided to submit the names to the NSC, but has not yet officially done so.

The NSC would not comment on the reports.

The executive director of Erdenes MGL, B.Enebish, said that the names have not been sent to the NSC.
