High-ranking officials from Germany and Mongolia held a meeting at the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology in Berlin on September 9.

The Mongolian delegation was lead by G.Batjargal, the head of the Strategic Planning and Monitoring Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade. The German delegation was lead by K.Wendling, a high-ranking official in the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology.  
The two sides discussed the implementation of agreements, and exchanged information on economic and societal trends in the two countries. The two sides also noted that they have many common interests, and pledged to increase bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
The German side expressed interest in reaching a new agreement on cooperation in natural resources. Both sides agreed to address that issue in the near future. The two sides also agreed to meet again, in Ulaanbaatar in September 2012.
