Mongolia to vaccinate children aged 5-12 against COVID-19

The United States on Wednesday announced it was starting to donate vaccines for children to Mongolia.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that 300,000 doses for children aged five to 12 has been shipped to Mongolia in a partnership with the UN-backed Covax program.

This means, Mongolia is preparing to  vaccinate  children aged 5-12 against COVID-19.

Previously, Mongolian teenagers aged between 12 and 17 have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccines. In mid-June, 2021, Mongolia started vaccination for children on a voluntary basis with the consent of their parents or caretakers.
