Members of the DP have erected a statue of independence in Uyanga soum of Uvurkhangai aimag. The statue is 13 meters tall and honors the residents of Uyanga soum who have support the DP since its inception.

At the beginning of the democratic era in the early 1990s, more than 400 residents of Uyanga soum enrolled in the DP in a single day, at a time when the party was not popular in the countryside.

The DP of Uvurkhangai aimag dedicated the statue to the soum “for people who prefer democracy and freedom.”
It is the first statue of independence in Mongolia.
