D.Ganbat, a member of Mongolian parliament donated a month’s salary of MNT 2.8 million to aid humanitarian relief efforts for Ukraine as it seeks to repel an invasion by Russia.

MP D.Ganbat, a leader of parliamentary group of Democratic Party, said that ‘Democratic Party do not support any war. The authorities must clarify Mongolia’s position on Ukraine. I initiate a humanitarian campaign to support Ukrainian civilians, children and women who lost their homes and health as a result of the war’.

He contacted with Ukrainians who living in Mongolia and asked Kiev’s diplomatic delegation in Ulaanbaatar to set up a bank account to accept donations for the humanitarian relief. Therefore, a fundraising account was opened by Khanbank. Mr. D.Ganbat has transferred today (4 April) his donation of MNT 2,826,451.00 to the account.
