Latest on COVID-19 in Mongolia: Hospital needs falling rapidly

Today (30 March), the Ministry of Health has reported that 85 СOVID-19 cases were recorded in the last 24 hours nationwide. In detail, 52 cases were reported in Ulaanbaatar city, with 33 cases in 21 provinces.

COVID-19 conditions continue to ease in Mongolia, with a little more than 300  patients in the hospital now and known, active cases falling significantly since the start of March. Overall, there are about 1218 active, confirmed COVID-19 cases in Mongolia — roughly half the caseload from the start of March and down dramatically from mid-January, when active cases topped 7,000. Hospitalizations are falling rapidly — 309 people are currently in the hospital with COVID, with 12 needing an intensive care bed.

It was also reported that no COVID-19 related death has been reported in the past 24 hours.
