Mongolia did not record any coronavirus death for the second consecutive day on Tuesday, while 449 people tested positive for the infection. Also, this is for the third day in a row that Mongolia registered less than 500 COVID-19 cases.

With the new cases, the infection tally in Mongolia rose to 461,796, while the death toll remained unchanged at 2,159.

So far, 66.8 percent of the country’s 3.4 million people have received two COVID-19 vaccine doses, while more than 1 million people over 18 received one booster.

The country started to administer a voluntary fourth shot in January, and over 96,100 people have received it.
