The Mongolian National Olympic Committee (MNOC) will hold Olympic assembly on 28 March. During the assembly, Mongolian Olympic body is expected to choose its president. However, nominations for the MNOC president are still yet announced.
N.Tuvshinbayar, former President of the Mongolian National Olympic Committee (MNOC) , has been jailed for 20 days for an assault that has reportedly left the victim in a serious condition in hospital. Therefore, he was suspended from the post of MNOC president.
He was elected unopposed as President of the MNOC, which this year celebrates its 65th anniversary, in August 2020.
N.Tuvshinbayar replaced D.Zagdsuren, who had held the post for 19 years, at an Extraordinary General Assembly of the MNOC.
