In the first nine months of this year, the overall mortality rate in Mongolia increased by 15.8 percent compared to same period of 2020 while birth rate fell by 4.5 percent. Statistically, there are 17-18 thousand deaths per year reported in Mongolia. However, mortality rate increased by 15.8 percent or some 1900 deaths since beginning of 2021.

There have been 326,738 infections and 1,450 coronavirus-related deaths reported in the country since the pandemic began.

There have been 13,894 deaths in Mongolia since beginning of the 2021. Death rate per 1000 persons in the country was 4.1 percent; increased by 0.5 points from 2020.
