Mongolians will observe their centuries-old Naadam Festival by television following the government’s creative decision of moving the ancient festival online. Therefore, the core competitions such as horse racing, archery and wrestling will be held without a live audience. The opening and closing ceremonies of the festival will be directed by three people, namely: director N.Naranbaatar, producer G.Tsoggerel and assistant director B.Baatar.
This year, the Naadam festival commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Mongolian People’s Revolution. Therefore, it will be huge celebration; some 350 people will stay at Khui Doloon Khudag for three days. Traditional wrestling, archery and horse racing, which are the three core components of the festival, will all be held at the wide and majestic expanse of Khui Doloon Khudag, located not far from the capital.
