Secondary schools and kindergartens across Mongolia will begin the summer vacation earlier than usual due to the surge of COVID-19 cases.

Kindergarten and primary school students will be on summer vacation beginning Monday (10 May), while secondary and high school students will take their vacation from next Friday.

Therefore, the new 2021-2022 academic year has been moved forward to mid-August accordingly.

Typically, the summer vacation for all secondary educational schools and kindergartens in the country begins in late May or early June and lasts until the end of August.

TV or online classes have been offered to students of all levels across Mongolia after  the country confirmed its first locally transmitted COVID-19 case in November 2020.
