Today (28 April), Mongolia confirmed 1171 new cases of coronavirus; bringing the total number to date to 33608. Most of these were locally transmitted; there were six imported cases and one transmission in the hospital.

In addition, nine people aged between 47 and 87 died of COVID-19 after all of them had been confirmed as having the coronavirus infection within two weeks. So far, the COVID-19 toll in the country of 3.3 million reached to 97. Separately, nine people with coronavirus died of other chronic illnesses.
