Earlier today (23 April), the Mongolian Cabinet held an urgent meeting at which it approved a decision of extending the strict lockdown made by the National Emergency Commission. Therefore, the public emergency readiness and preparation issued nationwide will be continuing until 7 May.

Previously, the full nationwide lockdown, aimed at curbing the steep surge in locally transmitted COVID-19 cases, took effect on 10 April and will last until April 25.
