Yesterday (30 March), Mongolia’s National Emergency Commission supported the Health Ministry’s proposal to impose a strict 14-day lockdown starting on Saturday in Ulaanbaatar city to curb a resurging wave of COVID-19 infections.

However, today (31 March) the Mongolian Government decided not to impose strict lockdown in the capital city, but to stick with its decision to support business. Nevertheless, the Government will halt operations of some sectors and impose strict quarantines at weekends only.
