Today (25 March), Mongolia has reported a record number of new cases of COVID-19 within a single day after confirming 285 people with coronavirus. This brings the total tally in the country to 5895.
Of the new cases, 267 were in the capital city of Ulaanbaatar, which is biggest epicenter in the country; the remaining 18 were in seven provinces, namely: one in each of Zavkhan and Bayankhongor Provinces, two in each of Dornogobi, Arkhangai and Tuv Provinces, three in Orkhon Province, and seven in Darkhan-Uul Province.
Separately, 96 people were discharged from the National Centre for Communicative Diseases after fully recovering. So far, a total of 4044 people have recovered from the pandemic.
