Mongolia considering COVID-19 vaccination certificates

Within the last month, Mongolia has vaccinated over 226 thousand people above the age of 18. This means every fifth adult in Ulaanbaatar has now received their first jab. The coronavirus vaccination is ongoing. Most of the cases have been in the capital, where over half the population live.

Mongolian PM L.Oyun-Erdene started the nationwide vaccination rollout by getting the first dose of AstraZeneca on 23 February.

Currently, Mongolia is considering issuing vaccination certificates. There has already been an explosion of COVID-19 passport initiatives internationally for domestic use and international travel.

At present, Mongolians can observe their COVID-19 vaccination information via the E-Mongolia app in English and Mongolian.
