Health Minister S.Enkhbold has made a statement about a 70-year-old Mongolian woman who died while in quarantine at the Mongolica Hotel.
The woman who lived in Tuv Province was placed for 7 days of quarantine at the Mongolica Hotel in Ulaanbaatar on 11 March after having had direct contact with a confirmed coronavirus case. She was diagnosed negative for coronavirus on 12 March. During a medical check, she was diagnosed in the early stages of dementia and suffering from a light psychotic disorder. Doctors checked her 4-5 times a day. However, she died suddenly on 14 March. According to preliminary conclusions, the woman was died of chronic diseases.
Previously, a 76-year-old Mongolian woman died of COVID-19 related pneumonia at the National Centre for Communicative Diseases on 11 March. She becomes the fourth person to die of coronavirus in Mongolia – apart from two patients who died after apparently having recovered from COVID-19.
