Yesterday (24 February), a total of 210 doctors and nurses received the first doses of the WHO-approved AstraZeneca vaccine. The National Emergency Commission has ruled to prioritise health workers during the first round of the vaccination rollout. Mongolia intends to vaccinate at least 60 per cent of its 3.3 million population – in other words, all the adults in the country – against coronavirus by the end of 2021
Separately, the Mongolian Ministry of Defence has received 100,000 doses of vaccine from the Chinese People’s Liberation Army. Mr. G.Saikhanbayar, Minister of Defence reported that hi ministry plans to vaccinate all military health workers and other army personnel.
