Yesterday (24 February), at 9.41 am local time, two earthquakes, measuring 4.1-4.4 magnitudes, shook Mongolia’s South Gobi (Umnugobi) Province near the Chinese border. The epicenters were both in Ikh Uul, which is located about 18 km from the administrative centre of the provinces Nomgon Soum (rural district).
The magnitude is considered to have been of low intensity and was not felt in any urban areas.
