The State Academic Drama Theater will observe its 80th anniversary on November 12, and the theater is planning to stage some of its “greatest hits” to mark the occasion. In addition to performing the best of the 400 or so plays that the theater has staged in its eight decades of existence, the theater will also stage a new play about a king of the Khunnu state, Modun Shanun.

Theater Director D.Tserensambuu told our reporter that the theater will also take part in the Mongol Nations Festival in Russia, performing the plays “State Without Seal” and “I Also Want to Delight.” The festival is alternately held in Russia, China, and Mongolia, and actors from Buriatia, Inner Mongolia, Khalimag, and Tuva take part.
