Today (23 December), Mongolia confirmed 57 new cases of coronavirus after testing 4134 samples nationwide. A total of 55 confirmed cases were from General Hospital in Ulaanbaatar’s Bayanzurkh District including 43 patients, nine carers, two family members of discharged patients, two medical workers, one administrator and one discharged person from the hospital – were all confirmed having the coronavirus infection. In addition, a doctor from theCentral Military Hospital in Ulaanbaatar and one person in Selenge Province also tested positive for coronavirus. Therefore, the total number of coronavirus cases at the hospital has risen to 131.

So far, since the start, Mongolia has 1063 confirmed cases of coronavirus; 600 of them are from the capital city of Ulaanbaatar; 51 percent or 541 people are recovered.
