Good Neighbors Mongolia INGO provides food aid to 10,000 households

Good Neighbors Mongolia INGO is providing food and hygiene packages totalling MNT 812 million as humanitarian assistance to households who are at risk of food insecurity due to the severe lockdown of Covid-19 in Mongolia.

In cooperation with Bayangol, Bayanzurkh, Nalaikh, Chingeltei, Songinokhairkhan, Sukhbaatar, and Khan-Uul districts’ offices as well as Darkhan-Uul province’s governor’s office, and Districts’ Emergency Commissions, Good Neighbors has planned to provide MNT 50,000 of food aid and MNT 48,000 of hygiene packages to 10,000 households who are living below the subsistence level and at risk of food insecurity within this December.

The aid has been delivered to the first part of it’s target groups, and currently 110 Good Neighbors’ staff members are working to ensure that the process is carried out with the approval of district emergency commissions and in accordance with the instructions given by the State Emergency Commission and the Ministry of Health.
