Mongolia has confirmed 26 new cases of Covid-19 after testing 18,031 people nationwide, bringing the total number of local transmissions to 300. So far, Mongolia has had 738 confirmed cases of coronavirus –347 of them have recovered.
Currently, 384 people with coronavirus are under treatment at the National Centre for Communicative Diseases and the Central Military Hospital; five of them are in a severe condition; in particular, one 80-year–old patient with Covid-19 has been put on aventilator and is in a critical condition. The patient has chronic diseases such as high blood pressure, heart problems and diabetes.
Mongolia reported the first case of coronavirus in March and the first local transmission in November. The country has no deaths of coronavirus until now.
Mongolia’s local transmissions have been reported in Ulaanbaatar and five of the country’s 21 provinces. The details are as follows:

65 in Ulaanbaatar
33 in Darkhan-Uul
22 in Orkhon
20 in Dornogobi, which borders with China’s autonomous region of Inner Mongolia.
