Over the weekend, nine new cases of coronavirus infection were detected in Mongolia.

As of 2 November, a total of 2354 people tested negative and nine- positive, including a 27-year-old woman who returned from Japan, three people who crossed the border through the Altanbulag checkpoint  (a 35-year-old and a 42-year-old Mongolian and one 27-year-old Russian), and five truck drivers, said the director of the National Centre for Communicable Diseases (NCCD) D.Nyamkhuu.

The total number of confirmed cases of the coronavirus infection in Mongolia has thus increased to 349.

A total of 36 patients are currently hospitalised; no deaths have been  reported.
