Today (28 October), the Mongolian Cabinet appointed two representatives of the board of directors of Oyu Tolgoi LLC. Bayasgalan who worked at JP Morgan and geological engineer Gan-Ochir were selected from 46 candidates who applied to the post in September.

The board of directors of Oyu Tolgoi consists of nine representatives; three of them are appointed by Mongolian Government.  The Government of Mongolia holds 34% of the total issued shares of Oyu Tolgoi LLC through Erdenes Oyu Tolgoi LLC, a subsidiary of Erdenes Mongol LLC, a state-owned company.
