Former sumo grand champion Asashoryu D.Dagvadorj has resigned from the post of the Special Envoy to Mongolian President Kh.Battulga. He has worked in the role to promote cooperation between Mongolia and Japan since August, 2007.
D.Dagvadorj holds a Honourary Doctorate Degree from the Matsumoto University, Nagano Prefecture and has become a bridge between the people of Mongolia and Japan. He is the first Mongolian wrestler to become the Champion and the 68th Champion Yokozuna of the Japanese Sumo wrestling.
